songs giving me life

I wanted to make another post about some of my favorite things, because writing about them makes me happy. This time I decided to borrow from the Code Switch podcast and share some songs giving me life.

No Tears Left to Cry by Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande is the pop princess we deserve! This song is such a great comeback. This is an excellent bop that makes you want to get up and dance, but it also shows the importance of getting through grief and being happy again. I'm so pumped to see what her new album will bring.

Pynk by Janelle MonĂ¡e

Dirty Computer is an amazing album, and really you should listen to (and watch!) the whole thing. But Pynk is probably my favorite song. It's so fun, feminine, and catchy, plus the music video is wild fun.

First Burn by Ari Afsar, Shoba Narayan, Lexi Lawson, Rachelle Ann Go, & Julia Harriman

Eliza is my favorite character in Hamilton, so to get more from her in a Hamildrop? Hell yes! This song is so intense, and I need these women to form a girl group ASAP. I played this at full volume while driving my mom's car, and oh boy did I scream-sing.

Try these songs out, because they're definitely giving me life at the moment. I've got them all on repeat (depending on my mood). I love some powerful female anthems, and these are three excellent ones.
